E. S. Fox Limited, based in Niagara, Ontario, is the dismantling contractor.
Established in 1934, Fox is a family owned Canadian multi-trade Company, providing a single source for industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) construction, fabrication and logistics requirements. Fox is a multi-faceted company, providing clients with a single source for a broad spectrum of construction, fabrication, services and engineering requirements. The Company is also one of the country‘s major sheet metal, vessel and module and pipe fabricators. The Company has proven quality standards including ISO 9001-2000.
The Company has completed 90% dismantling work of the refinery in Oakville. Following an agreed and proven procedure, they colour and computer code every component of the refinery, including bulk material, such as, piping and structural steel. This is critical to the success of reconstructing the refinery in Pakistan. As the refinery is dismantled all individual equipment is transported to a nearby stacking area for packaging, packing, crating, and containerizing, all under the supervision and management of senior Convoy Logistics’ personnel.
Convoy Logistic Providers, Toronto, Canada
Convoy Logistics has been contracted to manage the materials after they are dismantled. The company’s scope of work includes packing, crating, containerizing and loading the containers on trucks for delivery to the Hamilton, Ontario Port. Convoy Logistics is using two local subcontractors: Brent Packaging (www.brentpackaging.com) for all packaging requirements; and Anderson Transportation for all trucking. Convoy Logistics will also arrange and manage ocean freighting from Canada to Pakistan.
Protos Shipping Limited, Toronto, Canada
Protos Shipping Limited is the clearing, forwarding and shipping agent for IRL. They have shipped 65% of the dismantled refinery equipment to Pakistan which reached IRL Site.
Co-Generation Power Plant, purchased from the USA, has also reached IRL Site.
SGS International, Toronto, Canada
SGS International provides pre-shipment inspection of plant and machinery during dismantling and they verify all data and inspection reports prior to shipments to Pakistan. SGC certify the useful life of the equipment to be a minimum of 10 years. They have already inspected and certified the 65% dismantled refinery equipment in Canada.
After refurbishment, the refinery equipment will be inspected again and certified by SGS in Pakistan.
